We are working to connect many of the page level tools to File Uploads for image uploads. When you click on the "Browse" button, you'll be routed to your File Uploads instead of searching on your computer or network initially. File Uploads still allows you to upload right from your computer/network, but it also allows you to use any of the image or files that you already have in your File Uploads database. This will be especially helpful for on-the-go changes you make on a tablet, when you may not be connected to your network files and for multiple admin users sharing the same resources (files).
This enhancement will be released tool by tool, starting with the Content Editor and Slide Show tools. We will announce here again when the enhancement is fully released.
