Mobile Site: Excluding content from your mobile site

Your mobile site is an optimized version of your full site, or desktop site. However, not all pages - or all types of content - are ideally viewed or processed on a mobile phone screen. You have the control to exclude content from your mobile site - both on a page level and drilling down to an individual tool level.

Page Property: Exclude / Include on Mobile

By default, all pages are set to "Include on Mobile". To change this:

  1. In Navigation Builder, go to the page you wish to exclude (or change settings for). Click on the page to edit it.
  2. In the page tabs, click on Properties
  3. Click the Options tab.
  4. In the options drop down menus, click on the Include / Exclude from Mobile and change to the desired setting.

  5. Click Save at the bottom of the properties menu.

Your change may require a refresh of your mobile browser if you had the site previously loaded, but the change is immediate.

Note that if you exclude a Level 1 page from the mobile site, then all the nested pages will be excluded by default, as that first level of navigation has been removed.

Tool Settings: Exclude from Mobile Site

Once your mobile site is active, all your page level tools will now have a check box, "Exclude from Mobile Site", right above the preview/functional pane. (See example image below).

To exclude just that tool's content from the mobile site, check that box and then click the Save button that will appear at the bottom of the preview / functional pane.
