You can share your Member's birthday and/or anniversary calendar on your website with the Birthday/Anniversary page level tool, but before you can build that calendar on your website, you must first build the information in your members database.
Birthday and/or anniversary information does not have to be publicly shared; if you choose to collect this type of information, the members database can also be used to generate reports or build lists of dates for admin staff only. Many of our customers build birthday/anniversary calendars on secured (password protected) pages for registered members only.
The following instructions explain how you (Admin Users) can view these calendars in the Member's Database within Site Manager. (For information on how to build a calendar on your web page, please see Page Level tools.)
MEMBER ANNIVERSARY CALENDAR
The "Anniversary" content of the Members Database allows you to create a calendar display of anniversaries on your web site. First, you set up the anniversary data in your Members Database, and next add the Birthday/Anniversary page level tool to your designated web page.
To setup anniversary data:
- From the top menu bar click on PEOPLE and choose the Members Database link.
- The Members Database page will appear. Click on the arrow next to Select Options and choose Anniversaries.
- a) Month: You can choose which month of the year to view. You can also change the month by using the arrows on either side of the calendar.
- b) Year: You can pick a year to view.
- c) View: You can choose to view it by calendar view or by a list.
- d) Show Years: You can have the number of years the member has been married in years show next to their name or not.
- If you click on the member that is listed for a specific date it will bring up all the information for that member and you can edit that information if needed.
You can also publish the anniversaries calendar to a page using the Birthday/Anniversary Tool. We recommend that this is on a secure password protected page only available to members, to protect your members' privacy.
